Please use the following guidelines whenever applying makeup

  1. Within the scope of the make-up lessons that are given during the Make-Up Course, the self-application of make-up (by you, for yourself) is explained.  It is presumed that all of the materials and the make-up implements are personal, and belong only to you!  You allowed to touch the make-up materials and creams with your hands, as demonstrated in the videos, on this condition only.
When make-up is applied by a make-up artist, or when applying makeup on someone else, it is forbidden to touch the make-up products with an exposed hand because of the fear of infection. In such a situation you should use a Q-tip or implements that are designated specifically for spreading, when you are picking up the make-up products.
  2. Lighting around the make-up table needs to be soft and uniform. Ideally, lighting should be installed above the mirror, on both sides of the mirror, or even around the mirror (as they do in Hollywood).
Use bulbs with a warm tone and not cold fluorescent lighting. The bulbs need to illuminate directly onto whomever is in front of the mirror, without blinding them.
  3. Redness, burning or small spots that appear on the face after making-up are a clear sign of an allergic reaction to any of the cosmetic ingredients. In this case stop using that specific make-up product (or cream) and consult a dermatologist!
  4. Make-up products are hygienic products, with all that this implies. They should not be borrowed from or exchanged with anyone else.
  5. Remember that make-up products also have a shelf-life and when that period has expired, they should no longer be used!
  6. Make-up products should be kept away from the bathroom. Humidity affects their shelf-life.
  7. The area around the eyes is a very sensitive area. Neglecting to impose the rules of hygiene and cleanliness can result in inflammations and infections and therefore, before making up your eyes, you should wash your hands with warm water and soap.
  8. In order to preserve the quality and hygiene of your make-up brushes, be sure to use brush cleaning fluid after every use, and wash the brushes with shampoo and conditioner once a month.
  9. The make-up sponges can be cleaned using a cake of soap and water.
  10. It is extremely important to remove make-up and clean your skin thoroughly before you go to sleep! since most makeup products are oil-based and can drip into the eye as well as be absorbed into the skin. Makeup products adsorb dust particles and pollution during the day and these are easily absorbed into the skin.

Always remember, only practice makes perfect and having fun is a must!
